The state of Florida has something new designed just for older drivers.

The state is rolling out a new drivers guide for its senior drivers, which make up 18 percent of Florida's population.

A spokesperson for the Florida Department of Transportation’s Safe Mobility for Life Program said most people's driving skills decline as they get older and the guide suggests ways for aging drivers to improve their skills or explore other transportation options if necessary.

The guide is free and can be requested by sending an email to safe-mobility-for-life@fsu.edu.
