Want to cut down your own Christmas tree?

Well you can now chop down a tree from the Ocala National Forest, but you need a permit.

The U.S. Forest Service is selling the permits.

For $7, you can cut one sand pine tree from any of the designated areas in the forest.

You have to cut down your tree between Monday, Nov. 25 and Tuesday, Dec. 24.

You can buy permits in person at the Forest Service offices in Silver Springs and Umatilla or by mail.
