Flags were lowered to half-staff Wednesday in honor of Seminole County School Board member Diane Bauer.
The 65-year-old passed away suddenly Tuesday, Oct. 29.
The Seminole County Public Schools Education Support Center and Services buildings will lower their flags from sunrise until sunset.
Bauer's funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Saints Peters and Paul Catholic Church, located at 5300 Old Howell Branch Rd. in Winter Park.
She will be immediately buried at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Orlando.
Bauer, who has resided in Seminole County since 1973, is survived by her husband, Frederick, two sons, three daughters, a son-in-law, brother, uncle, numerous cousins and a granddaughter.
