Lake County Sheriff’s deputies uncover an active meth lab, sending four people to jail.

Deputies said they received information about the meth lab on the 39100 block of Forest Drive overnight.

They responded to the address where they located a trailer emitting a chemical odor.

During a search of the camper, detectives found an active, one-pot meth cook. They also seized 40 grams of meth oil, approximately 9 grams of methamphetamine, chemicals needed to manufacture meth and other drug paraphernalia.

Detectives said they also found items that led them to believe the subjects were also selling meth in the area.

Four people inside the camper were arrested on drug-related charges.

George Westerman was charged with trafficking meth, manufacturing meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. Margalicia Beutel, Jason Chaney and Veronica Williams were all charged with conspiracy to manufacture meth.

All four were booked into the Lake County jail.
