A new technology company is locating its headquarters in Flagler County.

Coastal Cloud, LLC, which is a subsidiary of Graphene, a cutting edge information technology company, will bring 100 high-tech jobs to the county over three years.

Sara and Tim Hale, the managing partners of Coastal Cloud, presented the company’s plans to the Flagler County Economic Opportunity Advisory Council via the Internet.

Coastal Cloud is an expert in industries including health care, media, real estate, telecommunications, high-tech and government entities.

“This is great news for the entire county,” said Commissioner Barbara Revels, who chairs the Economic Opportunity Advisory Council. “It is exactly what we had in mind when we created the Flagler County Department of Economic Opportunity. Attracting a high-tech industry is a home run for our team.”

“Flagler County’s Department of Economic Opportunity has made expanding our company here a seamless process,” Tim Hale said. “They took the time to understand our business model, ensuring a comprehensive approach and simplifying the transition.”

The company anticipates hiring 15 employees the first year, 35 in the second, and an additional 50 more in the third year.

The company said the new jobs’ average wage will be higher than the current average annual wage in the county.
