A 13-year-old boy found floating in a swimming pool at Walt Disney World late Sunday has died at the hospital.

Anthony Johnson died Tuesday morning, the Orange County Sheriff's Office confirmed.

The teen was visiting Disney World with his family from Missouri.

The Sheriff's Office said they are still investigating the boy's death, and no other details were immediately available.

Walt Disney World issued the following statement Tuesday:

"We are saddened by Anthony Johnson's passing and our hearts go out to his family, friends and loved ones. We have reached out to his family to offer care and assistance during this difficult time."

Guests at the resort found the teen in the pool around 9 p.m. Sunday.

According to witnesses, Anthony was playing in the water with family members, when his cousin spotted him underwater and pulled him out.

Witnesses said the boy's father began to administer CPR and was helped by other guests.

"I'm sitting here at my resort where there are currently a couple fire trucks, ambulances, and security vehicles parked out front," wrote one witness on an online Disney World fan forum. "Several paramedics rushed in with a stretcher and out to the pool and are giving someone CPR."

Deputies said the victim had a pulse and was breathing Sunday night when he was taken to Florida Hospital Celebration Health. He was later transferred to Florida Hospital South, where he died Tuesday.
