Dramatic testimony in the murders of two teens found shot and burned along the Cady Way Trail Thursday. On the stand for day two of testimony against Hector Rodriguez was the father of one of the victims.

Several witnesses took the stand Thursday, testifying on what led up to the murders, and where the victims, Nick Presha and Jeremy Stuart met with Rodriguez.

Bernie Presha works in the state attorney's office and is a former employee of the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Presha testified that he last saw is son at 10:30 at night on April 14, 2012, and he had no idea his son wasn't home.

"I called him down for breakfast, and he didn't answer, so I went to his room and he wasn't there," Presha testified.

Jeremy Stuart and Nick Presha were seen on April 14 at a local RaceTrac gas station. That's where detectives say they met Jesse Davis and hector Rodriguez.

At some point they ended up at Davis' house. Jonathon Tischer, a witness for the state, said he was at Davis' house to buy drugs that night.

"The kids were there, he met them at the RaceTrac," Tischer said. "They planned on robbing them for guns, he didn't say where they got the guns from, just that they had guns."

Jonathon Tischer says he then saw Davis fire a gun in the air, and slap Jeremy Stuart with it.

Tischer says that’s when he left, and that Rodriguez told him what happened afterward.

“He told me I didn’t have to worry about the kids," Tischer said. "He said verbatim, they shot them in the back of the head execution-style then lit their bodies on fire.”

Hector Rodriguez has pleaded not guilty to the murders. The other suspect in the case, Jesse Davis, took a plea deal and is serving a life sentence.
