A fight between students at an Osceola County school led to the arrests of two classroom workers for child neglect. Three students were also arrested.

The fight happened on Jan. 9 at an exceptional student education class at Discovery Intermediate School in Kissimmee.

Deputies say one student was seen in videos kicking another student and pushing him against a computer desk. At one point, deputies said the student said to the victim, "Next comment I’m gonna stomp on your heart, and I know you’ve got a condition where I stomp on it and you’re dead ... you can’t make those racist jokes.”

Two other students threw chairs.

During this fight, deputies said paraprofessionals Kristie Gilmore and Mona Sagar did nothing to disrupt the fight. Including calling for help.

Deputies said Gilmore and Sagar are refusing to cooperate with the investigation. The two were arrested this week and taken to Osceola County Jail.

The district also said on Tuesday the board will decide whether to suspend the two without pay.

The three students were charged with battery. We are not revealing their names, per our Crime Guidelines.
