A new study shows women are generally better than men at putting away money for retirement.

But, with that said, the study also shows women still have less in their 401-K than their counterparts.

The study, conducted by an investment management company, says women are 10 percent more likely to enroll in their workplace savings plan than men and even save a bigger chunk of their paychecks.

But the women surveyed had an average savings account balance of $78,000, where men had an average balance of $121,000 dollars in savings.

The study says we can blame that on the wage gap because on average, men earn 40 percent more than women.
