Sheriff's deputies in Polk County need help from the public with locating a missing man who suffers from early stage Alzheimer's.
Investigators say 68-year-old Wayne Wietting was last seen Wednesday morning.
He was driving a 2008 maroon Chrysler Town and Country minivan with a Florida Disabled Veteran tag number WC12481.
Wietting is 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighs about 230 pounds.
Investigators say Wietting made statements of self-harm on Tuesday and may have a handgun in his possession.
