Change is happening in Gainesville, and it's not coming at the head coaching position.

Florida coach Will Muschamp on Wednesday said freshman quarterback Treon Harris will start next week's game (Nov. 1) against Georgia. The game will be played at EverBank Field, in Jacksonville.

The move means fourth-year junior Jeff Driskel will be benched. Driskel has 12 turnovers in the last four games. The Gators (3-3, 2-3 SEC) had six turnovers in a 42-13 loss to Missouri last Saturday.

The Gators' offense is in need of a spark, and Muschamp has repeatedly said Harris brings another dimension to the offense.

Through six games, Driskel has completed 53 percent of his passes for 928 yards, including six touchdown and 10 interceptions.

In limited action, Harris is 12-for-18 passing for 263 yards, three TDs and one interception. He also had eight carries for 26 yards and a touchdown in the game vs. Missouri.
