Keep your eyes on the skies along the Space Coast on Wednesday afternoon, when an Atlas V rocket is scheduled ot launch from Brevard County.

The Air Force is preparing to launch another GPS navigation satellite from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The GPS 2F-8 satellite is designed to improve accuracy, signals and performance for both military and civilian users of GPS technology.

Wednesday's launch will mark the United Launch Alliance's fourth GPS satellite launch of 2014, and ULA's 12th overall launch of the year.

Three more launches are scheduled in 2014. The next, on Dec. 4, is a crucial test flight of the Orion spacecraft, which NASA hopes to eventually send on missions to Mars.
