Time to shop for Thanksgiving dinner, and if you are looking for savings there are plenty to be had.

Josh Elledge from Savings Angel looks for the best deals around. He said the best deal around starts with what is likely your holiday centerpiece.

"Right now at Publix you can get turkey for 59 cents a pound," Elledge said. "This is an outrageous deal and I happened to know what their wholesale price is. They are losing about 50 cents a pound selling you this great turkey at this promotional price just so they can get you in the store, so you will buy everything else at Publix."

Other stores have turkey deals too:

  • Target: .89 a pound ($10 free gift card with $50 food purchase)
