Students in suburban Seattle have returned to the high school where a fellow student killed three people.

Hundreds of people lined the streets leading to the school to show their support.

Two weeks ago, a freshman killed three of his classmates, wounded two others, and then killed himself.

We all have a chance right now to make a change to go up to that person who is walking alone and saying to them and to touch their lives, because we don't know what's going on inside their heads.

An impromptu memorial of flowers and balloons also covers the fence surrounding the school.

The district's superintendent issued a statement in which he thanked those who have helped for their compassion:

Thank you to the countless people who have reached out with prayers, words of encouragement and to let us know you are with us.  The support from our community has been overwhelming. Thank you especially to our friends and partners here in the Marysville community, including the Tulalip Tribes, Marysville Police Department, and the City of Marysville.
