A meteor was a hot topic on social media Saturday night in some states.

A meteor streaked across the Southwestern United States.

Residents from California to South Texas took to Twitter to mention the size and speed of this fireball.

Many Texans said it crashed into Earth, which isn't all that unusual.

NASA said every day about 100 tons of meteoroids enter the Earth's atmosphere in the form of dust gravel and even big rocks.

This could be one of those big rocks that people on Twitter said shook the ground when it crashed.
