Orange County deputies have located the mother of a boy found wandering Thursday evening.

His mother, Judiline Pierre was contacted by the OCSO.

At this point it appears there was a miscommunication between Pierre and a relative who was supposed to be supervising the child.

A relative has told News 13 that Pierre dropped her soon off around in the late afternoon, or early evening, but the male relative Pierre thought would watch the child was asleep.

The relative confirmed that's when the child managed to get out of the house unnoticed.

Not long after Pierre dropped her son off, deputies found the boy, who is between the ages of 4 and 6 years old, walking alone on the sidewalk in the early evening on North Lane, in between La Vista Drive and Robbins Avenue.

No decision has been made on whether charges will be filed. The child is in the custody of DCF.

The boy told deputies his name is Terrence or TJ, but could not tell them where he lives.

He will remain in the custody of the Department of Children and Families until a decision is reached on whether or not to file charges.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office thanks viewers for their help in this search, and credit the calls received from media reports with identifying the child.
