Arnold Palmer Hospital confirms one young girl has died of injuries suffered from a crash into a day care center in Winter Park.

A vehicle crashed into the KinderCare DayCare center at 4035 North Goldenrod Road, north of University Boulevard.

Florida Highway Patrol said a Dodge Durango hit a Toyota Solara, sending that car into the KinderCare.

Eight people were taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital, which now confirms one of those patients died. A total of 13 people were hospitalized at area hospitals, according to Orange County Fire Rescue. Two others were treated at the scene.

FHP found a Durango connected to the crash a short time later at a home in Winter Park. However, the people who live in the home said one of their friends dropped the car off at their house.

FHP is looking for Robert Corchado, 28.  FHP confirms Corchado rented a Mazda SUV from Enterprise in Winter Park. It's a black vehicle, Florida tag CHR Q41. If you see him, do not approach him. Call 911.

KinderCare is a franchise day care center that offers day care programs for children as young as six weeks old, and before and after school programs for children between five and 12 years old.

Corchado has criminal record

Florida Highway Patrol initially said Corchado was looking to get a flight out of the area, and law enforcement officials handed out fliers at Orlando International Airport. But we do know he also rented a car from Enterprise in Winter Park.

Corchado has been in trouble with the law before. According to the Dept. of Corrections, he spent a year and 10 months in prison for extortion back in 2005. He also served three years in prison in 2010 for trafficking cocaine.

Corchado is about five feet, seven inches tall, weighing 172 pounds. He has tattoos on his back, left arm, right arm and left leg. Again, do not approach him if you see him. Call 911 instead.
