The body of a missing Lake County girl was found early Saturday morning in a pond in front of Leesburg Regional Medical Center.

A search for Beyonce Reddick, 12, began Friday afternoon.

Earlier in the investigation, a tracking K-9 unit led Leesburg officers to the area in front of the hospital, and so the pond was one focus area of the search, according to Sgt. Kim Stewart, of the Leesburg Police Department.

Reddick's body was found around 3:15 a.m. Saturday. There is no indication of foul play, Stewart said.

Reddick, who was autistic, had the mental capacity of a 6-year-old and liked to go to parks and areas with water, police said.

She was last seen around 5:30 p.m. Friday, in front of the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
