Port Canaveral officials are set to introduce their new container terminal operator today in Brevard County.
Referred to as "Project Pelican," the company is expected to create 500 onsite jobs at the port.
Locals said the contract signing will pave the way for the creation of thousands of direct and indirect Central Florida jobs during the next five years.
The company is expected to begin operation in March 2015.
