A new state law will require you to keep your children in a car seat for an extra year.
Gov. Rick Scott signed a bill Tuesday raising the state's car seat requirement from 4 years old to 5 years old.
It does allow parents to use booster seats to meet the requirements.
The new law does have some exceptions, including if the child is being driven by someone who is not a member of the immediate family.
