A 2-month-old girl is in stable condition after she was left inside a hot car for about an hour on Tuesday, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were called to Timber Creek Pediatrics just after 3:30 p.m. Deputies said the mother brought her 9-year-old child into the clinic and left the 2-month-old girl in the car.

After about an hour, the mother realized the infant was still in the car. She rushed her inside the clinic, deputies said.

The infant was stabilized and transported to Nemours Children's Hospital in stable condition, deputies said.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office's child abuse unit is investigating the incident. The mother was not charged in the incident yet.
