Deputies in Brevard County are investigating an incident that left a 12-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to the leg.

According to the police report, deputies responded to a call on the 300 block of A Lane in Cocoa. 

Witnesses told deputies that the suspects fled the area in a red Chrysler 300 last seen heading towards State Road 520.

With a quick response time, deputies were able to locate the vehicle on Calvado Drive.

Three suspects have been detained and are currently being interviewed by investigators.

No names have been released as the investigation is ongoing.

The victim was transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital and is in stable condition. Investigators believe the 12 year old was the target of the attack.
