A popular item in your pantry may be tainted -- some peanut and almond butter is being recalled because of a possible salmonella contamination.

A unit of Hain Celestial Group said there have been reports of at least four illnesses related to the product.

They were sold under the brand names Arrowhead Mills peanut butter and MaraNatha almond butters and peanut butters.

Also included in the recall are some lots of private label almond butter from Whole Foods and Trader Joe's.

Customers are being advised to dispose of any potentially affected containers.
