The November general election is less than 70 days away.

On the Republican side, Gov. Rick Scott is hoping to get re-elected. Meanwhile, former Gov. Charlie Crist, now a Democrat, is vying for his old job.

Crist easily beat Sen. Nan Rich for the nomination Tuesday.

In an attempt to head into the general election strong, the Democratic Party is holding what they are calling a unity rally in Orlando today.

Both Crist and Rich will be in attendance, along with Democratic nominee for Attorney General George Sheldon and his opponent Rep. Perry Thurston.

U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson and DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz will also be there.

The rally begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Painters and Allied Trades Union Hall, 2153 W. Oak Ridge Road.
