There are now more billionaires worldwide than ever before.

That's according to the Wealth-X and UBS's 2014 "Billionaire Census."

A little more than 2,300 people have at least a billion dollars in assets; a 7 percent increase over last year.

Financial analysts say the average billionaire is 63-years-old, and worth about $3 billion.

Almost all billionaires are men; just over 10 percent (286) are women.

According to the census, more billionaires live in the U.S. than in any other country.
