A nonprofit organization that helps people with disabilities by providing assistance dogs got a much needed donation Monday.

Mattress Firm donated 27 new beds for the dormitory at Canine Companions for Independence's southeast region training center in Orlando.

A Mattress Firm team delivered and set up the beds in the dormitory where veterans and individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder stay while they visit CCI to meet and train with service dogs.

CCI offers service dogs, trained companion dogs, hearing dogs and facility dogs to U.S. military veterans suffering from PTSD, as well as individuals with disabilities.

CCI dogs are trained onsite at the center's facilities.
