Amtrak is reopening one of its rail services between Florida and New York for the first time since Hurricane Joaquin forced the company to suspend service.

The Silver Star 91 and 92 train service will resume its schedule on Friday from Miami to New York City. Passengers should anticipate schedule delays though.

All other train routes remain canceled, including the Silver Meteor trains 97 and 98, from New York City to Miami, and the Auto Train 52 and 53 between Sanford and Lorton, Virginia.

Amtrak says it is not providing alternate transportation for people traveling on the canceled routes. However, passengers can review refund information or change their plans on the Amtrak website, using the smartphone app or calling Amtrak at 1-800-USA-Rail.
