Want to be an astronaut? Start filling out that job application now.

NASA has begun accepting applications for a new class of astronauts.

The space agency will accept applications through mid-February from anyone who wants to go to Mars.

This is the first time in four years that NASA has sought job applicants to go to space.

NASA is getting ready to return to human spaceflight launches from American soil.

Becoming an astronaut won't be an easy task. There's a two year evaluation period, and candidates have to pass physical exams and become skilled in Russian, robotics and other requirements.

Future astronauts will launch again into space from the Space Coast on American-made commercial spacecraft and carry out deep-space exploration missions that will advance a future human mission to Mars.

If you think you have what it takes, applications will be accepted at: http://www.usajobs.gov
