Osceola County is looking to bring more business and build up the area in the next few years.

During the State of the County address, Osceola County commissioners talked about their goals for the future.

One main topic of discussion was the Florida Advanced Manufacturing Research Center, which commissioners hope will bring 20,000 high-tech jobs to the area.

The other main focus during the address was the tourism industry, which Osceola County plans on building up over the next 10 years.

This week, the 134th Silver Spurs Rodeo will be at Osceola Heritage Park, and commissioners want to also attract new rodeo events, like the RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo, coming to Silver Spurs Arena for the first time in late March.

"We are focused on making sure our citizens' quality of life is unmatched in the region," said District Commissioner Brandon Arrington.
