A Falcon 9 rocket launch scheduled for Saturday afternoon has been delayed.

SpaceX announced Tuesday that they would reschedule the launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. No reason was given.

The rocket is carrying Turkmenistan's first telecommunications satellite. SpaceX was awarded the contract late last year.

SpaceX crews are working on a new date for the launch.

The next launch from Cape Canaveral is now on Wednesday, March 25 -- a Delta IV rocket is scheduled to launch, with the window opening at 2:36 p.m.
