The United Launch Alliance wants you to help name its next-generation rocket, which will eventually replace the Atlas V and Delta IV rockets.

The new rocket, which has not been revealed, will also end the company's reliance on a Russian-made rocket engine.

From now through April 6, you can vote on the name of the ULA's new rocket from three choices: Eagle, Freedom and GalaxyOne.

You can cast your vote now at bit.ly/rocketvote, or text 22333 to submit a vote for your favorite name using one of the following codes:

  • ULA1 for "Eagle"
  • ULA2 for "Freedom"
  • ULA3 for "GalaxyOne"

Your cell phone carrier's standard text and data rates may apply.

The ULA said it will announce the winning name on April 13, along with new details about the rocket's design and components.
