A truck driver was shot after his tractor-trailer broke down Monday night in Orange County, deputies said.
Deputies responded to a robbery call that happened around 10 p.m. on Redditt Road and Mai Tai Drive in Orlando.
When deputies arrived to the scene, they found the driver suffering from non-life-threatening injuries from gunshot wounds. The driver told deputies that he was working on his tractor-trailer on the side of Redditt Road near Mai Tai Drive.
According to a report, he was approached by two unknown men wearing dark-colored hoodie-style jackets.
The men took the victim's cell phone, and one of the men shot the driver.
The suspects fled to the Mai Tai Mobile Home Park.
The truck driver was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in stable condition.
The shooting remains under investigation. No other information was immediately available.
