Security will be a priority at the Coke Zero 400 where more than 50,000 race fans are expected during the Fourth of July weekend.

Track officials and law enforcement said they are coordinating with national and local law enforcement agencies to ensure safety measures are followed in light of a terror warning from federal authorities.

“Our security staff works very closely year-round with safety and law enforcement agencies at the local, state and Federal levels to ensure appropriate preparation, execution and review of sound security practices,” according to a statement.

While there is no credible threat of attack, some NASCAR fans are still concerned.

"Well, I think it's a darn shame. But it is a necessary evil now because these guys are crazy. We go watch TV for entertainment. We come to a place like this for entertainment. They kill people for entertainment," said one fan.

Local Law Enforcement in the area did not want to specify what safety measures are in place, but said they are remaining vigilant.
