Three kittens found with serious acid burns are doing much better, according to a spokesperson with SPCA of Brevard.

Harding, Remo and Matilda were all brought to the Titusville shelter last week with burns so bad it had removed most of the fur on their backs.

Susan Naylor, spokesperson for SPCA of Brevard, said Harding, who had the least amount of burns, is doing especially well. They said he knocked over his water and food bowl Wednesday and is ready to get out of his cage.

Remo and Matilda, who have worse burns, are recovering and their infections seem to be under control. Naylor said they both have amazing appetites and no signs of fever.

The kitties got to see each other Tuesday for the first time since they went into the shelter last week, and they snuggled closely together.

SPCA of Brevard thanks the fans who made a donation toward their care. No word on when they might be available for adoption.
