NASA says if a storm like Hurricane Katrina happened today, scientists would be able to better track it.

On Saturday, NASA released side-by-side images of Katrina's models from 2005 and how those models would look now.

NASA says the models now have 10 times the higher resolution than the ones used in 2005.

This allows scientists to better understand what's going on inside a hurricane and where it's going.
