The recovered, capsized boat of two 14-year-old South Florida boys who disappeared more than week ago after heading out on a fishing trip is now also missing.

The Coast Guard confirmed Monday the boat found July 26, two days after Austin Stephanos and Perry Cohen were last seen, was lost at sea last week during the massive search for the teens, which was eventually called off after a week of searching more than 50,000 square miles.

The boys left Jupiter on Friday, July 24. Their boat was discovered the following Sunday about 70 miles off the coast of Ponce Inlet.

A salvage company hired to tow the boat back to shore said it was missing from where it was originally was.

Coast Guard officials said they were not concerned the boat is missing, because they already checked the boat. The Coast Guard added there was no sign of foul play.
