It’s shaping up to be a busy week on the Space Coast.

From a deal that could create hundreds of rocket manufacturing jobs in Brevard County to the launch of the Navy’s next generation satellite.

The Space Coast is known for launching rockets, but not for making them. That could all change with Blue Origin.

On Tuesday, Brevard County Commissioners are expected to give their final stamp of approval for an $8 million incentive package to bring the aerospace company to the Space Coast.

Officially, it’s known as Project Panther, but we’ve learned Blue Origin is considering building a rocket manufacturing facility in Exploration Park, just outside the gated Kennedy Space Center.

More than 300 jobs could be created.

The company would also begin orbital flights from a Cape Canaveral Air Force Station pad.

Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezsos created Blue Origin.

He’s traveling to the cape in mid-September, where he’s expected to make the announcement official.

As Tuesday ends, and Wednesday begins, the countdown will be underway for the launch of a Soyuz rocket in Kazakhstan.

Three men, from Russia, Kazakhstan and Denmark will launch at 12:37 eastern time.

They will be making their way to the International Space Station, joining the 6 crew members already on board.

It’ll be the first time in nearly two years that there will be nine people on the space station at the same time.

Later that same Wednesday morning, a satellite is set to launch from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

United Launch Alliance is set to deliver the U.S. Navy’s MUOS-4 satellite to orbit.

The communications satellite is designed to help our military forces on the move.

The Atlas V launch window is from 5:59 a.m. to 6:43am.
