Officials are trying to identify a man in critical condition at Orlando Regional Medical Center, two weeks after a man was hit by a car in Orange County.

The man was brought to the hospital Dec. 27 th and has been unconscious ever since.

“We do have individuals who come in and we may not know who they are for 24 or 48 hours but this amount of time – it’s crazy.  It’s very, very, very unusual,” said ORMC spokesperson Kena Lewis.

Troopers say the man was in the median at State Road 50 and Kirkman Road when he walked into traffic and was hit by a car.

Hospital staff believe the man to be in his mid to late-twenties, Hispanic or Asian ethnicity, about 5’6” and 144 lbs.   Hospital officials also say he has black, spikey hair and a trimmed goatee.

He has no defining tattoos or physical characteristics, making finding out who he is even more difficult.

The man was fingerprinted, but does not have a criminal record so no information was provided.  Also, no missing persons reports have come in matching the man’s description.

“We have to believe that he is somebody’s son, or somebody’s brother or somebody’s father and somebody is out there looking for him or missing him and we just haven’t connected with that person,” said Lewis.

ORMC did not release a picture of the man.

Hospital staff and investigators are hoping someone may know who he is and call Florida Highway Patrol or ORMC at 321-841-7505 or 317-403-2180.
