A Miami-based political consulting firm is working to draft attorney John Morgan to run for Florida’s governor. The website, forthegovernor.com, went live Monday morning.

John Morgan is prominently featured on the page, along with his familiar slogan — "For the people, not the powerful" — and then, just underneath — "For Governor of Florida in 2018."
This site has been set up by political consultants Ben Pollara and Brian Franklin. They are the same team who worked with Morgan on his successful effort to legalize medical marijuana.
On the website, it states:
Tallahassee is a failure.
Lobbyists. Special interests. Inaction.
It goes on to say if the people of the state of Florida would “draft” John Morgan, that could change.
News 13 attempted to get a comment with Morgan, but the station was told he is in meetings.
However News 13 was told that when Morgan was informed of the website going live today, he just laughed.
