Florida Gov. Rick Scott is considering a run for U.S. Senate.

At the Republican Governors Association annual conference in Orlando, Scott said he might seek the seat held by Sen. Bill Nelson in 2018.

Scott was elected in 2014 but is limited from seeking another term.

He said President-elect Donald Trump would be a good partner with Florida and would help the state get money to restore the Everglades and repairs to the Lake Okeechobee dike.
