Trump was introduced by Gov. Rick Scott and Vice President-elect Mike Pence. Doors for the event opened at 4 p.m., and the event was scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Trump took the stage just before 8:30 p.m.

Trump launched his USA Thank You Tour 2016 and has already traveled to several key battleground states where he won the vote. Trump won Florida, but he didn't win Orange County. His aides said it's an effort of reaching out for unity and to ask Americans to give him a chance.

"We're already getting to work," Trump told the Orlando crowd, as he broke down his winning path and citing states he won. "We're saving a lot of jobs. We got a lot of things going on, but we're going to do the big picture. But, we sort of have to wait until we get in office. I'm just having a hard time waiting."

Trump also talked about his jobs plan, including a $1 trillion investment in "our very bad and crumbling infrastructure." Trump cited roads, bridges, airports and schools.

"We are going to fix our country," he said. "It's time. We have no choice."

The president-elect ended his remarks, which lasted about 50 minutes, with a message of unity.

"We will bring our country back together," he said. "We will love everyone — everyone. Not segments, not small groups or big groups. ... When Americans are unified, there is nothing that we cannot do. No task is too small; no dream too large; no goal beyond our reach. My message is for all Americans."

Trump will continue his tour Saturday in Mobile, Alabama.
