City officials joined Florida Hospital leaders for a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday to celebrate the grand opening of Florida Hospital Winter Garden.
The 97,000-square-foot, three-story building, located at off State Road 429 near Daniels Road, provides emergency care, outpatient surgery, lab and imaging services, endoscopy, and primary and specialty care.
The emergency department, which will be staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, features a clinical decision unit with 23-hour observation beds. The unit's clinical team will decide whether a patient can return home or if the patient needs to be transported to another hospital for admission.
Florida Hospital Winter Garden also features physician offices that will offer care in the areas of primary care, cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, general surgery, OB/GYN and urology.
