A man was tied up and pistol-whipped during a home invasion early Friday morning at an apartment complex in Orange County, deputies said.

Deputies responded to a call regarding the incident at 3:48 a.m. at the Bonita Fountains Apartment Homes, located on Double Eagle Drive.

The victim reported to investigators waking up when he heard a noise coming from the glass sliding door.

He then saw a man trying to get in through the glass door. He also witnessed another man was waiting to get in near the front door.

The victim reported both suspects were armed. They forced him into the bedroom and tied him to a chair. They demanded valuables before pistol-whipping him.

The suspects left the apartment, heading in an unknown direction.

The victim suffered minor injuries to the head.
