A rare, stinky flower known as a corpse plant is about to bloom at Rollins College in Winter Park.

The corpse plant gets its name from the stench the flower puts out to attract flies for pollination.

One bloomed at the college a year ago, creating a big buzz and bringing hundreds of visitors to the campus.

Rollins College has put up a web cam to watch the new corpse plant.

The greenhouse manager expects the bloom to open between Sunday and the end of next week.

The bloom lasts only about 36 hours.
