Once again, people are turning their attention to the lottery. The Powerball jackpot has reached $314 million for Saturday’s drawing.
The current Powerball jackpot has rolled over 16 times since a winning ticket for $291.4 million was drawn on March 2 in Florida.

According to lottery officials, the last time the Powerball jackpot hit $300 million, it went on to a record-breaking $1.586 billion in less than two weeks.
The winning tickets in that jackpot were sold in three states: California, Tennessee and Florida.

The odd of matching all five numbers and the Powerball are 1 in about 293 million, according to the Florida Lottery website.
Saturday’s Powerball jackpot has an estimated cash payout of $204.7 million.
