Orange County Sheriff’s Office is investigating reports of an incident at Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets on Saturday afternoon.

While viewers flooded our newsdesk with calls of a shooting at the outlets, the Sheriff’s Office told News 13 that there were two people fighting and causing a commotion, and that no gunshots happened at the outlet.

The open-aired mall is on locked down to calm shoppers down as deputies do a sweep of the area, deputies said.

Orange County Sheriff's Office released a statement to the media.

“As of right now, there is not a shooting at the Premium Outlets. Preliminary investigation reveals it was a fight and people panicked. It is still early in the investigation and deputies are sorting everything out. If there is more to release, I will update you as it becomes available,” Rose Silva, public information officer for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office stated.

Earlier in the day, the sheriff's office confirmed to News 13 that the incident happened at Orlando International Premium Outlets, but Colleen Enis, public information officer at Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets, told the station the correct location.
