Service was restored Saturday morning to Cricket Wireless customers after a nationwide outage, the company said.

Cricket Wireless had been working to restore service since Friday evening, when the outage was first reported by customers.
Sometime around 10 a.m., the company posted on Twitter that service had been fully restored.

Many customers became frustrated when they couldn't get a response from the wireless company about the outage on Friday.
The company issued a few responses on its official Twitter page, saying it was working on the problem.

AT&T is the parent company of Cricket, which uses its cell towers. There were not as many reports of lost service from AT&T customers.
The website Down Detector, which trackes outages, posted a map Friday of affected areas during the outage.

The company is advising customers to power off their phones and then turn them back on to restore service.
Cricket Wireless has not released any information as to what caused the service outage in the first place.
