Tropical Storm Gaston has now reached winds of 70mph. It is way out in the open Atlantic moving NW at 10mph.

We are watching 3 other areas. One near the coast of Louisiana that only has a 10% chance of becoming tropical. Invest 99 is still disorganized with a 40% chance once to reaches the eastern Gulf of Mexico by early next week. A third area is south of Bermuda and has a 30% chance of becoming a tropical system in the next 5 days.
