Blue Bell Ice Cream is under a new recall for listeria concerns.

  • Blue Bell recall for two flavors
  • Concerns about Listeria in cookie dough pieces
  • Recall includes Florida

The company is recalling its Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Cookie Two Step flavors. The company says there are Listeria concerns about the cookie dough pieces supplied by another company, Aspen Hills.

Blue Bell says all of the supplies currently on the shelves had to pass the test and hold program to check for Listeria, and there have been no reports of illness.

However, the company is not taking any chances and is initiating the recall voluntarily.

The ice cream was distributed in 10 states, including Florida. It includes half gallons of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Cookie Two Step, and pints of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

Customers are encouraged to return the ice cream for a full refund.

In 2015 Blue Bell recalled all of its ice cream after increasing concerns about Listeria. The company has only returned to store shelves in Florida since January.
