A capacity crowd welcomed Donald Trump to Melbourne Tuesday, less than 24 hours after the first presidential debate.

The Republican candidate for president is hosting a rally Tuesday evening at Orlando Melbourne International Airport.

"Ours is a special country, and we must never stop fighting to keep the American dream alive," Trump said before launching into the meat of his stump speech.

The rally is taking place at the AeroMod International Hangar. The doors opened early, but long lines led to some heat-related emergencies.

Just after 7 p.m., the city of Melbourne announced the rally had reached capacity.

Trump reiterated many of his talking debates from Monday night's debate, along with some of his signature campaign lines, including building the wall.

"I kept saying for 26 years you've been doing nothing," Trump said of Clinton's long career in the political spotlight. "She's the candidate of yesterday. And ours is the campaign and we're the people of the future."

Several times he also called opponent Hillary Clinton "Crooked Hillary," and insisted she was in the pocket of the special interests. He then mentioned Clinton's statement earlier this month, saying half of his supporters could be put in a "basket of deplorables."

"You are the greatest people on Earth. You're not deplorable," Trump said.

"Government will start working again," he added. "Fixing things is what I do."

Trump last visited Central Florida in August, when he spoke at a rally in Kissimmee on Aug. 11, then attended a pastors' meeting at the Orange County Convention Center.
